blehhhh

last week i made this really good design in photoshop where the picture was split in half black background in one and white in the other, text along the top saying 'our parents look after us, but who will look after them?' and then at the bottom on one side a silhouette of a man, woman and child and on the other just a child alone. the text was half black and half white after lewis helped me cause i couldn't figure it out. it all looked really good, but then i had to go earlier than normal cause it was my sisters birthday and my computer froze and i was unable to save it. dave said he was goner save it but he didn't ): so ive had to spend another session repeating myself in illustrator. and once again i have no idea how to split the text color, so in this image ive just made it pink. it'll do for now.

coffeeeeeeeeee

last week we all sat down and had a nice coffee with dave and had a good old chat about possible ideas that we could use to promote the event and different ways that we could get the message across. we discussed the importance of subtlety and how the poster should be quite minimalistic and unique. some ideas were put across about using the bird for a logo for the design but then this was ditched because it went away from the point of the event because it seemed as though uganda itself was being promoted rather than the humanist trust. we needed an idea that was eye catching which makes people want to look deeper into the image to see the information. we had ideas about playing on peoples emotions with messages such as 'our parents look after us, but who is going to look after them?'. other ideas included perhaps using 2 posters in a series which join together to convey the message. These ideas are still in development and i will inform of any updates.
