Today we started to look at and research different styles of poster art in order to promote a potential poster idea for the charity.
I came across this image and it has inspired me to create something similar perhaps, but instead if it being Chicago it could be shaped like Uganda, still separated into different areas of the country but rather than the names it could include different things that the children have to suffer every day probably in a bold black font. And also rather than the country just being onetoo i could refer it to some other pictures that i have researched and also relate it to African art and have it in bold block colours for each area. Along the bottom in place of where the area is it could have some sort of slogan or help message to further describe the image and purpose of the poster. I also like this idea too because Dave has told us that we have a budget for this project £££££££££ and that we could potentially use this money to create some t-shirts which i think is a great idea and these could be sold either at the event or maybe even at Sainsburys across the road from college because they have said we can have some of their floor space at the bottom where people go in and out to advertise and perhaps tell items to promote the event. But anyway, I think if my idea gets turned into one of the t-shirts I may actually buy one. cause I'm cool like that.
